Save children’s lives

According to a recent statement made by The United Nations International Children’s Fund (UNICEF), there are more than six million Syrian children who were born during the conflict in Syria, and they suffer the humanitarian crisis caused by one of the most brutal wars in modern history. These children know nothing in this life but war, displacement, pain, diseases, and suffering.

Through its 21 medical points (hospitals, primary health care centers, and Protection centers), which are spread throughout north of Syria, the Syrian Expatriate Medical Association (SEMA) works on providing a wide variety of free medical services, Child Protection services, malnutrition cases as well as the most vulnerable cases. With the available capacity, SEMA responds to the needs of the civilians in north of Syria, that witnesses the greatest tragedy in modern history. In that geographical area of the limited resources, there are more than four million people who are in need of health services, and SEMA seeks to alleviate their suffering.

Success Stories:

A child, named Basel, was frustrated and with low self-confidence before he was reached by SEMA. He was exposed to bullying from one of his friends in the school because he suffered from hearing loss. However, after SEMA reached the boy, provided him with a hearing aid, and followed up his health, mental health, and his education, his life positively changed, thanks to Allah, and turned upside down.

In addition, Aisha, a three-year-old child, was suffering from a lesion on her face. It started to grow since the very first months after her birth, and it reached a level that distorted her innocence and bright eyes, and deprived her of living her childhood and playing with her peers. In addition, she had several mental health issues. SEMA managed to reach her, and conducted a complex surgery to her to remove this lesion, and now she is in a good health. The child and her family pray for all who helped her to go back to normal life again like the rest of the children.

Basel and Aisha are only two cases out of tens that need urgent medical care. SEMA was able to reach them and assist them on medical and psychological scales, but there are many other cases that SEMA cannot reach due to its limited financial ability. Now they are waiting for someone to help them have treatment and reduce their suffering.

Therefore, SEMA has launched an urgent campaign, with the title “Save the Lives of Syrian Children”, to hospitalize and treat children. This campaign aims at securing the amount needed to sponsor and treat 100 children of the most vulnerable internally displaced families in northern Syria, as such cases need a special medical care or a surgery with an average cost of 200 USD $ per child.

  • Your contribution will change the life and the future of a child who was deprived of treatment due to the financial situation of his/her family.
  • Your donation will put the smile back on children’s faces as well as their families’, and they will remember you in every prayer.
  • Your donation will contribute to reducing children mortalities as a result of the epidemic diseases spread in north of Syria.
  • With your donation, hope will return to children to resume their education and practice their normal life like other children, after the disease has prevented them from that.

Donate now and be a reason for their treatment and happiness.
